ASOS On SALE!

Asos is having a huge Fall Sale on hundreds of items, so when I saw these beauties posted above, I snatched them up immediately. I'm basically a sucker for anything with buckles, and the wooden clog-heels make me think of a hybrid between Jeffrey Campbell's cuties mixed with some harder sensibilities...totally crazy and totally over-the-top, great with both long and short skirts alike. The long black maxi-dress is simple, sleek, sexy and sophisticated, and a *steal* at a mere 20 bucks. Lastly, the best part? Free shipping!

Legacy Lives On?

For the Spring Runway looks for 2011, Sarah Burton, Alexander McQueen's second-in-command, moved the label a bit further with pieces that paid honorable respect to her teacher of 20 years. The company's choice to have her take-over was built on the agreement that it should be someone who was close to McQueen. Although her pieces perhaps, will always pale a bit in comparison to McQueen's obvious genius, her delicate homage to a true master is evident, making the line stable, if not entirely memorable and show-stopping like her mentor.
